Music has always been a central part of life at The Belham. Beyond the joy of playing, learning an instrument teaches invaluable life lessons like patience, resilience and dedication. To celebrate this growth, many of our students take "peri" (peripatetic) exams. These are graded assessments run by visiting music specialists that offer children a tangible goal for learners, a sense of ownership over their progress, and a wonderful boost of confidence.

With over 30 students sitting exams this term, 19 took grade 1, 5 took Grade 2, 6 took Grade 3 and 2 took Grade 4. Rosa in Year 5 took her Grade 5 flute - an truly incredible achievement marking her dedication and skill! A special shout out also goes to Lowell in Year 3, who took her Grade 1 cello - having only started learning back in September!

A huge thanks to Ms De Paor, Cathy & Jon Stainsby, and all our brilliant peri teachers for their exceptional training and support. You’ve really created a symphony of success with the students here at The Belham!
