Children from Year 4 recently took to the stage at The Albany as part of the renowned Coram Shakespeare Schools Festival—delivering a memorable and vibrant performance of Twelfth Night.
The festival brought together schools from across the local community to perform abridged versions of Shakespeare’s plays in a professional theatre setting. Belham pupils rose to the occasion with an energetic and creative interpretation of the classic comedy, impressing the audience with their confidence, teamwork and stage presence.
What made the performance especially unique was the children’s use of live music, which they played themselves throughout the production. This added an extra layer of atmosphere and showcased the wide range of talents within the group. The production was further supported by Nico, who took on the important role of Assistant Director, helping guide the performance behind the scenes.
The show was the result of weeks of dedication, rehearsals and collaboration. Pupils worked incredibly hard to learn their lines, develop their characters and support one another as a team—culminating in a performance they could be truly proud of.
The school would like to extend a huge thank you to Ms Ariyibi and Mr Morgan for all their hard work and commitment in bringing the production to life. Their guidance and encouragement ensured that every child had the opportunity to shine on stage.
Performing at The Albany was an unforgettable experience for the pupils, giving them the chance to build confidence and enjoy the excitement of live theatre. The entire school community is incredibly proud of their achievement.
