Art is at the heart of The Belham. Guided by our art specialist, Dr Amy Mulvenna, pupils are encouraged to explore, experiment and express themselves with confidence. From painting and sculpture to printmaking, children learn to see the world differently — and to take pride in creating something uniquely their own.
Every child is an artist. Our teaching encourages pupils to see the world through an artistic lens, to take creative risks and to value the process of making as much as the final piece. Partnerships with local artists, galleries and cultural organisations connect learning in the classroom to the wider creative world.
We take pride in showcasing our pupils’ artwork through exhibitions, displays and community projects. These celebrations highlight talent, effort and creativity, helping children to see themselves as artists and to take ownership of their achievements.
