Parent Feedback Highlights Strengths and Opportunities for Growth
In addition to the overwhelmingly positive survey results, we also receivedvaluable specific feedback from parents that reinforces the strengths of ourschool — and provides helpful suggestions for how we can continue to grow.
What Parents Appreciate
Many parents praised the quality of teaching, the supportive staff, and the welcoming school environment. Words such as “great,”“supportive,” and “community” came up repeatedly, reflecting astrong, positive school culture that families value deeply.
Our extracurricular offer was highlighted as a major strength, with parents recognising the range of clubs and activities available. Familiesparticularly welcomed the opportunities for enrichment beyond the classroom.
There was also strong appreciation for our focus on inclusivity andsupport for pupils with additional needs, which many parents felt had a meaningful impact on their child’s development.
Areas for Development
Parents shared some thoughtful suggestions, which will help inform next steps:
- Increased academic competition in non-sport areas such as chess, art, and music was a recurring theme. Parents would like to see more opportunities for pupils to showcase their talents in these areas.
- There was a call for more learning in natural environments, making greater use of local wildlife and outdoor resources to enhance the curriculum and inspire curiosity.
- A continuation in streamlining messages home through school platforms.
- Families were pleased with the school’s recent focus on supporting maths learning at home, and would now like greater insight into how writing skills develop over the year. Reading provision was widely seen as a continued strength.
We are so grateful to parents for their thoughtful and constructive feedback. It plays a key role in helping us shape the future of our school, ensuring we provide the very best for every child.
Together, we’re building not just a school — but a thriving, inclusive and ambitious learning community.
