OUR UNIFORM

We think that a simple, comfortable school uniform helps to create a sense of school community and avoids fashion competitiveness. The Belham uniform is very easy to wear and practical - based on the colours navy and pale yellow. It is easy to spot a 'Belhamite' in Peckham!

Parents can mix and match items from the list depending on the weather, and whatever your child prefers - the most important thing is that they are happy and comfortable.

Uniform can be purchased on line through Marks and Spencer:
https://www.mandsyourschooluniform.com/

In the case of non logo items you are free to buy them from any source you choose, as long as they meet our uniform guidelines.

UNIFORM LIST

Tops
Navy sweatshirt with/without Belham logo
Navy hoodie with/without Belham logo
Pale yellow short-sleeved aertex polo shirt with/without Belham logo
Pale yellow T-shirt with/without Belham logo
Navy cardigan with/without Belham logo

Trousers and shorts
Trousers should be in a plain navy fabric in a smart school uniform style. Summer shorts should be knee-length, in a plain navy fabric and a school uniform style.

Skirts and pinafores
These should be in a plain navy fabric, and of a reasonable length. Pinafores can be worn over a polo shirt or a T-shirt.

Summer dresses
In the summer term pupils can wear a pale yellow gingham dress/culotte-dress

Shoes, socks and slippers
Pupils should wear black or navy school shoes. School shoes should be hard-wearing, sturdy and sensible, fastened with Velcro or laces and should cover the whole foot. Trainers are not suitable school wear. Socks should be plain and either white or a single dark colour.

As each class regularly visits our outdoor learning space, pupils will need to bring wellies on their outdoor learning day. Unfortunately these cannot be stored in school throughout the week.

PE
A plain white T-shirt should be worn for PE, together with navy sports shorts or navy jogging trousers, white socks and plain sports shoes.

Jewellery and hair accessories
Only non-smart watches and plain stud earrings are allowed. Pupils should wear simple plain hair bands and all long hair which touches the shoulders should be tied back.

Coats, hats and gloves
We want your children to be able to spend lots of time outdoors so they will need warm/waterproof coats, hats and gloves. These should be practical and easy to put on. A knitted beanie hat with Belham logo is available.

Lightweight waterproof jacket and trousers
For those days when there is a chance of rain, your child may need a lightweight plain navy waterproof jacket and trousers to wear over their uniform.

PE bag
A yellow water resistant bag with the Belham logo.

Book bag
The children will be given a Belham book bag free of charge on their first day at school. Any replacements are available to purchase from the school.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT ALL YOUR CHILD'S CLOTHES, SHOES AND BAGS ARE CLEARLY LABELLED!
